The shop
Happy Store is a general store on Hirilandhoo, in Thaa Atoll. It went live on Odreca One in August 2026.
The pain points
Before Odreca One the shop ran on Manager POS, a program on one computer that did one job: ring up sales.
- Offline. Nothing could be checked unless you were standing in front of that machine.
- No support. Nobody to call when something went wrong.
- No updates. Upgrades did not arrive when they should have.
- Limited features. A till, and not much else.
- Not connected to anything. Purchases, expenses and the accounts were all kept somewhere else, by hand.
How we solved it
- One integrated system. Point of sale, accounting, purchasing and sales in one place. Every sale posts into the books as it happens.
- Fully online. The owner can open it from anywhere: in the shop, in Malé, or on a phone.
- Profit by category. Products are grouped into categories such as hardware, food and drink, and household goods, and each category posts to its own accounts. The Profit & Loss shows how each part of the shop is doing, not one number for the whole store.
- Expenses next to sales. Business expenses are entered directly, so the Profit & Loss is the full picture.
- MIRA-ready reporting. The GST return is built from real entries, ready to review at filing time.
- Receipts with the shop’s details. Every receipt prints with a Tax Invoice header and the shop’s TIN.
- Every way a customer pays. Cash, card and bank transfer each have their own method, and a transfer is recorded with its bank reference so it matches the statement.
- Supported and backed up. Encrypted offsite backups every night, watched through shop hours, and people to call.
- No limits, no hidden fees. Unlimited tills and unlimited locations.
The implementation
Full support from start to finish. The product list and barcodes were imported, the till and invoice printing were set up, and the staff were walked through the till and the daily close.
What the owner has now
A till that works, books that keep themselves in order behind it, and a Profit & Loss that says which shelf earns its keep. All online, all in one place.
