Lion Stone

A convenience shop that moved off an offline desktop point of sale onto Odreca One, one system for the till, quotations, customer accounts and the books.

The shop

Lion Stone is a retail convenience shop. It went live on Odreca One in September 2026.

The pain points

Before Odreca One the shop ran on QuickBooks POS Desktop, a program on one computer that did one job: ring up sales.

  • Hard to use. An interface the staff had to work around.
  • Limited reports. They stopped short of what the shop wanted to know.
  • No support or training. Nobody to call.
  • Offline. Nothing could be checked away from that machine.
  • Not connected to anything. No purchasing, sales or accounting behind the till, so everything else was a separate job.

How we solved it

  • One integrated system. Odreca point of sale with the accounting, sales and purchasing apps behind it. Every till sale posts to the books automatically.
  • An interface staff pick up quickly. The till is designed to be learned in a session, not a course.
  • MIRA-ready reporting. Reports come straight from the records the shop trades on.
  • Quotations for office customers. Offices that buy supplies get a proper quotation, and the sale follows on from it.
  • Customer accounts. Regular customers can buy on account at the till. Their balance shows in the books, and part payments are settled against what they owe.
  • Bank transfers with a reference. A transfer payment carries its bank reference from the moment it is rung up.
  • A proper day-end. The till is closed each day with a cash count, so the day’s sales, cash and card totals land in the books as one closed session.

What the shop has now

A till the staff use all day, quotations and customer accounts in the same books as the sales, and reports that are reviewed at filing time rather than rebuilt.

If your shop is still on a desktop till that cannot see the rest of the business, talk to us. We will show you what your books would look like on Odreca One.
